Kids and grownups will have fun fishing at Bass Pro’s South Pond Saturday morning , Sept. 24.  There are prizes, including a Jon Boat or $300 cash for the winner of the FISHAPALOOZA Fishing Challenge.  And it’s a fund raiser for the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor and new Perrysburg Area Historic Museum….two non-profit organizations dedicated to preserving area historical and natural resources.

A KidZone will feature Wide Mouth Bass casting and other activities  such as face painting, trick kite flying, tailgate toss and taking aim into the Bass Pro wide mouth bass casting game. Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be sold by Boy Scout  Troop 259 of the Lutheran Church of the Master.

Prize winners will have a choice of fishing gear or cash. For example, 1st prize is a Jon Boat, or $300 cash. Registration for anglers 11 and younger is $1. For those folks 12 and over the fee is $10 ($8 if you pre register). Prizes will be awarded by Honorary Chairman, Brian Wilson, WSPD talk-show host and Bass Pro Rossford’s first customer. Blade Outdoor  Editor Steve Pollick will be hand to sign his new book, Best of Outdoor Pages.
